About the Role
Grace Court Schools, a reputable and forward-thinking educational institution located in Awka, Anambra State, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Igbo Language Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. In this role, you will play a vital part in nurturing students' appreciation for the Igbo language, literature, and cultural heritage, ensuring high standards of academic excellence within a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive Igbo language lessons aligned with the approved curriculum.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and active learning.
- Monitor, assess, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a conducive and disciplined learning atmosphere.
- Participate in school events, cultural activities, and faculty meetings as required by school management.
- Minimum of a B.Ed, B.A, or B.Sc in Igbo Language, Linguistics, or a related relevant subject.
- Previous teaching experience in a recognized primary or secondary school will be an added advantage.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Igbo.
- Demonstrated proficiency in strong classroom management skills.
- Self-driven, highly dedicated, and genuinely passionate about teaching and mentoring young minds.
- Must currently reside in Awka, Anambra State.
