About the Role
Grace Court Schools, a reputable and forward-thinking educational institution located in Awka, Anambra State, is seeking a passionate and dynamic Physical and Health Education (PHE) Teacher to join our esteemed faculty. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the physical well-being, discipline, and overall development of our students by delivering structured, engaging, and comprehensive physical education lessons. Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging PHE lessons that align with the school's curriculum and learning objectives.
- Promote physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyle choices among students.
- Manage classroom and playground behavior effectively to ensure a safe, inclusive, and orderly environment.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, maintaining accurate records of performance and participation in sports activities.
- Organize and supervise intra-school and inter-school sports competitions, athletic events, and physical training sessions.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavioral development, and athletic achievements.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and school administration to integrate health and wellness initiatives across the school.
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), Bachelor of Arts (B.A), or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Physical and Health Education or a closely related field.
- Prior teaching experience in a recognized school environment will be an added advantage.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional classroom management and organizational abilities.
- Self-driven, highly dedicated, and deeply passionate about child development and teaching.
- Must currently reside in Awka, Anambra State, or be willing to commute reliably.
