About the Role
Sage Schools is a friendly, safe, and secure learning environment offering well-equipped indoor and outdoor spaces designed to foster individual student growth. We implement an interactive curriculum that blends the UK EYFS framework with a rich Nigerian flavor, nurturing children to become globally relevant while staying rooted in their culture. We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated ICT / Robotics Tutor to join our team of qualified and well-trained educators.
Key Responsibilities- Develop comprehensive schedules, engaging lesson plans, and effective teaching methods that align with the school curriculum.
- Teach robotics and introduce fundamental STEM concepts to students in an exciting, interactive manner.
- Educate students on lab safety protocols and ensure all technical experiments are conducted responsibly.
- Design, administer, and fairly grade tests, practical assignments, and student projects.
- Provide adequate consultation times and resources to support student learning and development.
- Mentor student teachers and participate actively in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional workshops.
- Prepare and guide students for participation in local and international science fairs and expos.
- Manage administrative duties, including maintaining accurate student records and tracking lab supplies and equipment.
- BSc in Computer Science Education or a related field, accompanied by relevant professional certifications.
- Demonstrated experience and certifications in Robotics education will be a strong added advantage.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant teaching experience in a recognized educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations within an educational or laboratory environment.
