About the Role

Open Access Consulting is a professional services firm dedicated to delivering strategic solutions in human capital development, expatriate and immigration services, recruitment, background check services, value-added consulting, and outsourcing services. We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented ICT Officer to maintain our client's technology infrastructure with minimal downtime, protected data, and reliable daily operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure servers, core banking applications, network systems, internet links, and power backups are fully operational before business hours.
  • Manage user profiles and access controls on the core banking system strictly based on approved requests while enforcing robust password policies.
  • Deliver first-level technical support to staff resolving hardware, software, and printing issues promptly.
  • Monitor internet and ISP links, seamlessly switching to backup connectivity during outages and logging all downtime incidents.
  • Assist the Head of Operations with end-of-day (EOD) processing and escalate application errors to vendors for rapid resolution.
  • Execute and verify daily data backups, conduct periodic restore tests, and maintain secure offsite or cloud copies.
  • Maintain comprehensive IT asset registers, CCTV systems, and physical access controls while reviewing system logs for anomalies.
  • Deploy antivirus updates, manage OS patches, and educate employees on cybersecurity best practices and phishing awareness.
  • Liaise efficiently with technology vendors regarding service level agreements, fault resolution, and ongoing projects.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2 to 4 years of proven hands-on experience in IT support and administration, preferably within a banking or financial services environment.
  • Strong technical proficiency in core banking application administration, LAN/Wi-Fi networking, Windows administration, and hardware maintenance.
  • Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, Microsoft credentials, or BankOne application certification are distinct advantages.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong vendor management skills, and a high level of integrity regarding confidential system data.
