About the Role
Showers Christian High School, a prestigious and fully accredited institution recognized by federal and state ministries of education as well as international examination bodies, is seeking a qualified and dynamic ICT Lab Attendant. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining our state-of-the-art computer laboratories, ensuring that both students and educators have seamless access to reliable technology for local and international examinations such as WAEC, NECO, Cambridge, and SAT.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, networking equipment, and peripheral devices in the ICT laboratory.
- Prepare the computer lab and software tools ahead of computer-based tests, practical exams, and daily classes.
- Assist teachers and students during practical computer sessions, providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support.
- Install, update, and manage operating systems, educational software, and security antivirus programs across all lab terminals.
- Enforce lab rules and safety protocols to ensure proper handling of equipment and a conducive learning environment.
- Keep an accurate inventory of all hardware, software licenses, and laboratory accessories, reporting any faults or shortages promptly.
- Minimum of an OND, NCE, or B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven hands-on experience in computer hardware maintenance, software installation, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to assist students and staff patiently.
- Familiarity with educational technology and computer-based examination platforms is a distinct advantage.
