New Horizons Computer Learning Centers, a global leader in IT training, is seeking a passionate and dedicated ICT Instructor to join our school department in Nigeria. In this role, you will empower the next generation of tech-savvy learners by delivering high-quality, age-appropriate computer science and digital literacy training. You will help students build strong technology fundamentals, preparing them to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging ICT lessons aligned with the school curriculum and student age groups.
- Teach essential computer literacy, keyboarding, and Microsoft Office productivity tools.
- Introduce foundational programming concepts using beginner-friendly tools such as Scratch.
- Educate students on internet safety, digital citizenship, and responsible technology use.
- Assess student progress through practical exercises, projects, quizzes, and continuous evaluations.
- Coordinate with school administrators regarding curriculum pacing, student performance, and term reporting.
- Maintain instructional facilities to ensure a safe, productive, and well-organized learning environment.
- BSc, HND, NCE, or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of post-NYSC teaching experience in ICT or computer studies, ideally with school-age learners.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, general computer operations, and operating systems.
- Basic familiarity with front-end web languages (HTML/CSS, JavaScript) and graphic design tools (Photoshop, CorelDraw) will be a distinct advantage.
