About the Role
Sumal Foods Limited, a renowned leader in the Nigerian food and confectionery manufacturing sector known for iconic brands such as Yale Foods and Vital Foods, is seeking a skilled Injection Moulding and Blow Moulding Technician. In this vital role, you will ensure the optimal performance, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our advanced manufacturing machinery to support our continuous production of high-quality goods enjoyed across Nigeria and neighboring countries.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot injection moulding and blow moulding machines to ensure seamless production runs.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and rapid corrective repairs on all assigned moulding equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults promptly to minimize equipment downtime.
- Collaborate with the production team to optimize machine cycle times, reduce material waste, and improve overall efficiency.
- Ensure strict adherence to company safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental regulations at all times.
- Maintain accurate logs of machine maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and daily operational performance.
- Minimum of an OND or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- At least 10 years of cognate hands-on experience as a moulding technician within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Deep technical understanding of injection and blow moulding machine operations, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail regarding mechanical precision and product quality.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
