About the Role
International Facilities Services Limited (IFS) is a leading global facilities management company delivering top-tier maintenance and operational solutions across Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, and the Middle East. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated HVAC Technician to join our expert technical team in maintaining large-scale commercial climate control systems within a high-footfall, 24/7 operating environment.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out scheduled preventive planned maintenance (PPM) on Daikin VRV/VRF outdoor and indoor units, air handling units (AHUs), and chiller plants per OEM service intervals.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-circuit faults while maintaining accurate service logs and defect reports using our CAFM platform.
- Monitor and respond to Building Management System (BMS) alarms, check compressor amperage, and verify thermostat calibration.
- Support chiller-specific operations including water treatment checks, pump and cooling-tower inspections, and load monitoring.
- Respond promptly to HVAC emergency call-outs and adhere strictly to safe isolation and permit-to-work procedures at all times.
- Possess an OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Demonstrated experience of 5 to 10 years working on commercial HVAC systems, specifically Daikin VRV/VRF systems, AHUs, and chillers.
- Proficiency in reading BMS trends, troubleshooting electrical/refrigerant faults, and working within a CMMS/CAFM environment.
