About the Role
Northwest Petroleum & Gas Company Limited, a prominent name in Nigeria's oil and gas sector since 1998, is looking for a strategic and results-driven Human Resources Manager. In this pivotal role, you will champion our human capital strategies, ensuring our workforce is engaged, motivated, and aligned with our core business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate the development and implementation of comprehensive people management strategies aligned with corporate goals.
- Guide the continuous utilization of the performance management framework to assess staff performance and identify development needs.
- Collaborate with business unit heads to establish measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and annual performance targets.
- Provide technical advice on employment legislation and staff contract issues to minimize legal exposure and ensure compliance.
- Design and implement talent development, training, and succession planning systems to build a robust leadership pipeline.
- Define and maintain a competitive, merit-based compensation system to attract and retain top-tier industry talent.
- Maintain industrial peace and harmony while efficiently managing employee relations, complaints, and disciplinary processes.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Humanities, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant HR experience in a senior generalist role, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity.
- Mandatory professional certification in Human Resources from CIPMN, HRCI, CIPD, or SHRM.
- Possession of a relevant postgraduate degree (MSc, MBA) is an added advantage.
