About the Role
The People Practice is partnering with a prestigious, top-tier co-educational secondary school in Nigeria to recruit an experienced Human Resources Manager. In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the CEO and Executive Directors, steering the full spectrum of HR functions including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, performance management, and employee relations to support institutional growth and academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Design and standardize robust HR processes, recruitment administration, and transparent testing procedures to meet institutional targets.
- Lead performance management systems, facilitating appraisals, competency mapping, and professional development plans for high-potential staff.
- Conduct comprehensive job pricing, market analyses, and annual compensation reviews to maintain competitive salary structures.
- Oversee operational aspects of the human resources department, ensuring cost-effectiveness, timeliness, and strict adherence to Nigerian labor laws.
- Advise management and employees on employee relations, ensuring consistent implementation of company policies and core values.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Behavioral Science, or Social Sciences; a postgraduate qualification in HR is strongly preferred.
- 10 to 15 years of progressive generalist HR experience, ideally within the educational or hospitality sector.
- Extensive knowledge of Nigerian labor and employment laws, compensation frameworks, and organizational development standards.
- Proven expertise in strategic recruitment, KPI tracking, and driving staff retention initiatives.
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and analytical skills with the ability to handle confidential data with absolute discretion.
