About the Role
Samsung Heavy Industries Nigeria (SHIN) is a key player in the country's oil and gas and maritime sectors, operating Africa's premier Floating Production Storage and Offloading integration yard in Lagos. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resource Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in driving our human capital strategies, supporting our workforce, and ensuring seamless HR operations in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end payroll administration and ensure accurate, timely salary processing.
- Drive strategic manpower planning to meet organizational staffing requirements.
- Handle comprehensive contract management for employees and service providers.
- Administer corporate insurance policies, including pension schemes, Group Life Insurance (GLI), and other employee benefit programs.
- Prepare detailed HR reports and metrics to support management decision-making.
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management, Business Administration, or a related HR field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on human resources experience, preferably within the maritime, oil and gas, or manufacturing sector in Nigeria.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other HR data management tools.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian labor laws and employee relations practices.
