About the Role
Universal Human Resource Consult is looking for a dynamic and experienced Human Resource Manager to lead the human capital functions for our esteemed hospitality client in Nigeria. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for aligning HR strategies with business objectives, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring top-tier service delivery through effective talent management.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract, select, and onboard qualified hospitality professionals.
- Manage employee relations by proactively resolving grievances, mediating conflicts, and enforcing disciplinary actions in compliance with Nigerian labor laws.
- Oversee the performance management system, guiding department heads in setting KPIs and conducting regular appraisals.
- Identify training needs and coordinate impactful learning and development programs to drive career growth and service excellence.
- Ensure strict compliance with labor regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies while maintaining accurate HR documentation.
- Administer payroll, employee benefits, and compensation structures in collaboration with the finance team.
- Prepare regular HR metrics and reports on staff turnover, recruitment status, and workforce planning for senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CIPM, CIPD, or SHRM is a strong added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity specifically within the hospitality or service industry.
- Deep understanding of Nigerian labor laws and modern HR best practices.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and proficiency in MS Office and HR software systems.
