About the Role
Concern on Climate Change for the Community Initiative (FOURCi) is seeking a dedicated and professional Human Resource Coordinator to join our dynamic team. FOURCi is a non-profit organization comprised of academics, environmentalists, agricultural experts, health professionals, and community volunteers united to safeguard our climate future. Currently, our operations focus heavily on the BAY states (Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe) in Northeast Nigeria, driving impactful interventions in Climate Education, Livelihood, Climate Smart Agriculture, Gender-Based Violence Protection, Nutrition, Environmental Sustainability, and WASH. As our Human Resource Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing our workforce, supporting talent acquisition, and fostering a positive organizational culture that drives our mission forward in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes for project staff, volunteers, and consultants across our Northeast operational bases.
- Develop, update, and implement comprehensive human resource policies and procedures in compliance with Nigerian labor laws and organizational standards.
- Coordinate employee relations, performance management, and capacity-building initiatives to enhance staff productivity and staff retention.
- Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records, payroll administration interfaces, and staff benefits management.
- Provide advisory support to senior management on HR strategy, conflict resolution, and staff wellness, especially regarding remote field operations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related social science field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional HR experience, preferably within the NGO or non-profit humanitarian sector in Nigeria.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and best practices in human resource management.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills with cultural sensitivity.
- Proficiency in HR software, Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual collaboration tools.
