We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive HSSE Officer to join our team in Warri. In this pivotal role, you will lead our health, safety, security, and environment function, protecting staff, visitors, and the environment through robust HSSE systems, comprehensive risk management, and strict regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate the comprehensive HSSE management system across operations in Warri.
- Conduct and oversee routine risk assessments, safety inspections, and internal audits.
- Develop, implement, and update vital HSSE policies, standard operating procedures, and staff training programs.
- Lead proactive incident prevention initiatives, thorough investigations, and accurate reporting.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness drills, facility security protocols, and sustainable environmental management practices.
- Ensure full compliance with all applicable Nigerian HSSE regulations and international standards.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop junior HSSE personnel to foster a strong safety culture.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Environmental or Health Sciences, Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Successful completion of the mandatory NYSC program or possession of a valid exemption certificate.
- Demonstrated professional experience in HSSE roles, including supervisory or senior responsibilities.
- Proven background in risk assessment, incident management, and maintaining structured HSSE systems.
- Prior working experience in healthcare, industrial, or institutional HSSE environments.
- Strong knowledge of HSSE management, regulatory compliance, and emergency preparedness.
