About the Role
Dragnet Solutions is a dynamic Information Technology and recruitment solutions company looking for a qualified HSSE Officer to join our team in Nigeria. In this role, you will lead the health, safety, security, and environment function, protecting staff, visitors, and the environment through effective HSSE systems, robust risk management, and strict compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate the HSSE management system across the organization.
- Conduct and oversee comprehensive risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits.
- Develop and implement proactive HSSE policies, standard operating procedures, and staff training programs.
- Lead incident prevention, thorough investigation, and accurate reporting protocols.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness, physical security, and environmental management initiatives.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable Nigerian HSSE regulations and international standards.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop junior HSSE personnel.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in a relevant discipline such as environmental/health sciences, occupational safety, engineering, or related physical sciences.
- Mandatory completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or presentation of a valid exemption certificate.
- Substantial professional experience in HSSE management, with a proven track record in a supervisory or senior capacity.
- Demonstrated expertise in risk assessment, incident management, auditing, and emergency preparedness.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare, industrial, or institutional HSSE operational environments.
