Amathel Pot & Locals is a dynamic and growing online food vendor and catering brand based in Oginigba, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional local and contemporary dishes to our esteemed customers. We are currently looking for a hardworking, reliable, and passionate Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in maintaining high standards of food preparation, kitchen hygiene, and timely service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the head chef and kitchen staff with daily food preparation, including washing, chopping, and peeling ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment by washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans throughout the shift.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Manage kitchen schedules efficiently to guarantee the timely preparation of various dishes.
- Help with the organization and proper storage of food supplies, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Support the team during peak operational hours in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in culinary arts, hospitality, or a related field.
- Proven previous experience working in a professional kitchen or catering environment.
- Strong knowledge of local food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Ability to thrive and maintain efficiency in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
