About the Role
Nigerian SinoTrucks Limited is a leading name in the Nigerian automotive and transport sector, providing robust commercial vehicles tailored for the local environment. We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HSE & Safety Officer to join our dynamic team and champion our health, safety, and environmental standards across all operational sites.
Key Responsibilities- Provide on-site HSE support, guidance, and enforcement of company safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure full compliance with local regulatory bodies and contractual HSE requirements.
- Assist teams in conducting Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRA) to reduce risks to As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP).
- Manage Behavior Based Safety (BBS) tools, conduct safety audits, and facilitate routine workplace inspections.
- Lead incident investigations, ensure accurate reporting, and manage initial incident documentation.
- Deliver comprehensive HSE training, safety inductions, and emergency response drills for staff and contractors.
- Monitor environmental parameters, enforce waste segregation, and maintain proper document control.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Relevant HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, HSE Level 3/3, ISO 45001).
- Demonstrated experience in health, safety, and environmental management within the Nigerian manufacturing, logistics, or construction sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Action Tracking Software, and SAP.
