About the Role

We are currently seeking a proactive, safety-conscious HSE Officer to join our dynamic team in Warri and champion a strong safety culture on-site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and site safety standards across operations.
  • Conduct regular HSE inspections, risk assessments, safety observations, and daily toolbox talks.
  • Monitor compliance with the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system and high-risk activities including hot work, confined space entry, work at height, and lifting operations.
  • Participate in Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), incident and near-miss investigations, and ensure effective closure of corrective actions.
  • Support emergency preparedness, routine drills, and proper management of hazardous materials and environmental risks.
  • Oversee contractor compliance with site safety requirements and maintain accurate HSE records for periodic reporting.
  • Support internal HSE audits, regulatory inspections, and promptly escalate unsafe acts or conditions to prevent incidents.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant HSE experience within the oil and gas, refinery, power, manufacturing, or construction sectors.
  • Demonstrated practical expertise in PTW administration, risk assessment, JSA, incident investigation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills with the ability to thrive in a demanding, field-based environment.
  • Relevant professional certifications will be considered a distinct advantage.
