About the Role
Eko Maintenance Limited is a rapidly growing Facility Management Company specializing in the maintenance of high-rise building facilities, with our office located in Victoria Island, Lagos. We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HSE Officer to join our dynamic team and ensure the highest standards of safety, health, and environmental compliance across our sites.
Key Responsibilities- Identifying workplace hazards and risks and implementing appropriate control measures to prevent accidents and incidents.
- Conducting risk assessments and developing Safe Systems of Work (SSW) for technical and hazardous activities.
- Overseeing permit-to-work systems for high-risk activities such as electrical isolation, working at height, confined space entry, and hot works.
- Promoting a proactive safety culture through engaging toolbox talks, safety campaigns, and visible leadership on-site.
- Supporting emergency preparedness planning and conducting regular drills, including fire evacuation and critical incident response.
- Degree or HND in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on HSE experience, ideally within Facilities Management, construction, industrial, or large-scale hospitality environments.
- Relevant professional certifications in HSE, ISO standards, or NEBOSH will be a strong added advantage.
- Strong communication and training-delivery skills, with a proven ability to influence safety behavior across a diverse workforce.
