About the Role
Eko Maintenance Limited is a rapidly growing Facility Management Company specializing in the maintenance of high-rise building facilities, with our office located in Victoria Island, Lagos. We are currently seeking a competent and proactive HSE Officer to support our Health, Safety, and Environmental operations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring strict compliance with HSE standards, promoting safe work practices, and implementing effective operational controls to protect our workforce and assets.
Key Responsibilities- Identifying workplace hazards and risks and implementing appropriate control measures to prevent accidents and incidents.
- Conducting thorough risk assessments and developing Safe Systems of Work (SSW) for technical and hazardous activities.
- Overseeing permit-to-work systems for high-risk activities including electrical isolation, working at height, confined space entry, and hot works.
- Promoting a proactive safety culture through engaging toolbox talks, safety campaigns, and visible on-site leadership.
- Supporting emergency preparedness planning and leading safety drills such as fire, evacuation, and critical incident response across the site.
- Degree or HND in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of dedicated HSE experience, ideally within Facilities Management, construction, industrial, or large hospitality environments.
- Strong communication and training-delivery skills with the proven ability to influence safety behavior across a diverse workforce.
- Relevant professional certifications in HSE, ISO standards, or NEBOSH will be considered a strong added advantage.
