We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive HSE Officer to champion our safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance across our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor compliance with comprehensive HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices across all operational areas.
  • Participate actively in daily toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and continuous HSE awareness programmes.
  • Conduct and contribute to Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessments, and stringent Permit-to-Work activities.
  • Report, document, and investigate accidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and hazardous conditions promptly.
  • Monitor the proper handling, storage, and disposal of waste, chemicals, and other hazardous materials.
  • Ensure emergency equipment, fire extinguishers, first-aid boxes, and emergency exits are inspected, maintained, and readily accessible.
  • Support the seamless implementation of innovative HSE initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree or HND in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Possession of relevant professional HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, ISPON, OSHA, or HSE Level 1-3.
  • Additional ISO certifications will serve as a distinct added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably within a manufacturing, fabrication, construction, oil & gas, or galvanizing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Nigerian HSE regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and incident investigation techniques.
  • Exceptional communication, technical reporting, and interpersonal skills.
