About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver HSE induction training for all new staff and subcontractors prior to site deployment and maintain complete registers.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for all facilities management activities.
  • Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits across hard services, soft services, and public areas, ensuring rapid close-out of corrective actions.
  • Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and reporting for all HSE incidents, near-misses, and non-conformances.
  • Oversee robust permit-to-work systems for high-risk activities including electrical isolation, working at height, and hot works.
  • Ensure full compliance with Nigerian HSE regulations and relevant statutory environmental requirements such as NESREA.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through engaging toolbox talks, safety campaigns, and emergency preparedness drills.

Qualifications
  • Degree or HND in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate is required; NEBOSH Diploma or ISPON/IOSH credentials are a distinct advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional HSE experience within Facilities Management, construction, industrial, or large public-venue environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in RAMS development, permit-to-work systems, and industry-standard incident investigation methodologies.
  • Proficiency in utilizing CMMS or CAFM platforms for logging safety data, training records, and compliance documentation.
  • Exceptional communication, training-delivery, and stakeholder management skills with a calm, decisive demeanor under pressure.
