About the Role
Sahara Group is a leading privately owned Power, Energy, Gas, and Infrastructure Conglomerate established in 1996 with operating companies active globally. We are looking for a dedicated and seasoned HSE Manager to champion our commitment to maintaining an incident and injury-free workplace. In this critical role, you will provide strategic HSSE consultation, develop robust safety protocols for drilling and production operations, and ensure full compliance with regulatory standards across our assets.
Key Responsibilities- Promote awareness and implementation of company Health and Safety policies to achieve an incident-free workplace.
- Develop and review drilling, completion, and production safety manuals, protocols, and bridging documents.
- Lead root-cause incident investigations and ensure timely delivery of corrective and preventive measures.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and related activities for OML 11.
- Conduct regular safety audits, facility inspections, and monthly self-verification reviews of key HSSE systems.
- Provide technical support and risk assessment guidance to senior management and operational teams.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related Sciences (a Master's degree is an added advantage).
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant HSE experience in the oil and gas sector.
- NEBOSH IGC certification and professional membership (e.g., NISP).
- IRCA Certified Auditor for ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001.
- Demonstrated expertise in HAZID, HAZOP, HSE Management Systems, and Emergency Response Drills.
