About the Role
Alpha Mead Group, a leading Total Real Estate Solutions Company operating across more than 10 African countries and certified to international standards, is seeking a dynamic and qualified HSE Advisor to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding our employees, contractors, and clients by championing rigorous health, safety, and environmental standards across all our real estate and facility management operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures in compliance with local Nigerian regulations and international standards.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments for ongoing projects, facility maintenance, and daily operations to mitigate potential hazards.
- Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed root-cause analysis reports and preventive recommendations.
- Provide robust HSE oversight for facility management activities, monitoring third-party contractors and service providers.
- Design and deliver engaging HSE training programs, toolboox talks, and emergency evacuation drills to foster a safety-first culture.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of HSE inspections, audits, and performance metrics for senior management.
- Act as the primary liaison for regulatory bodies during facility inspections and compliance audits.
- Bachelor degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven HSE experience, preferably within the real estate, construction, or facility management sector.
- Mandatory NEBOSH certification and relevant ISO 45001 credentials.
- In-depth knowledge of Nigerian HSE laws, regulatory frameworks, and international best practices.
- Strong proficiency in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety management software.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to hazard prevention.
