About the Role
Addme Nutrition Limited is a growing Nigerian food and nutrition manufacturing company committed to producing quality, affordable, and accessible food products for consumers across Nigeria. We specialize in the manufacturing, processing, packaging, and distribution of food and seasoning products. We are currently seeking a skilled, hands-on Mechanical / Utility Engineer to join our dynamic factory operations team and drive maximum equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of factory machinery and utility equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical faults rapidly to minimize production downtime and optimize line efficiency.
- Maintain and service motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, shafts, pumps, conveyors, and mixers.
- Develop and implement robust preventive maintenance schedules and inspect machinery for potential failures.
- Support the installation, alignment, commissioning, and modification of new or existing machines.
- Supervise technicians, artisans, and external maintenance contractors to ensure quality workmanship.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, spare parts inventory, and equipment downtime.
- Recommend innovative engineering solutions to improve machine reliability, efficiency, and lifespan.
- Ensure strict compliance with factory safety, occupational health, hygiene, and food safety standards.
- B.Sc. or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, beverage, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Strong practical expertise in industrial machinery maintenance, pneumatics, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and schematic diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
