About the Role
Emerald Schools was established in 1995, beginning with Emerald Nursery and Primary School, followed by the establishment of Emerald High School in 2005. We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated HR Personnel / HR Generalist to join our professional team in Lagos. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing daily human resources functions, fostering a positive workplace culture, and supporting our commitment to high educational standards through our exceptional staff.
Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new academic and non-academic staff.
- Maintain comprehensive employee records and manage personnel documentation in compliance with Nigerian labor laws and school policies.
- Support employee relations by addressing staff inquiries, resolving conflicts, and promoting a harmonious working environment.
- Assist in the administration of staff performance evaluations, training needs assessments, and professional development programs.
- Coordinate payroll administration processes, leave management, and employee benefits in collaboration with the finance department.
- Ensure adherence to school policies, labor regulations, and health and safety standards across the institution.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree or a relevant degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven working experience in an HR role, preferably within the education sector or a structured corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian labor laws and best practices in human resource management.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency in using HR software, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital recruitment tools.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and organizational skills.
