About the Role
Ascentech Services Limited is currently recruiting an experienced HR Manager on behalf of our client, a leading global supply chain and agribusiness company with extensive operations across Africa. In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee the full spectrum of human resources functions, driving people operations to support the company's continuous growth and operational excellence across the Nigerian market.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive HR policies, strategies, and procedures aligned with organizational goals.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management processes.
- Oversee strategic workforce planning, talent development, employee engagement, and retention initiatives.
- Ensure strict compliance with Nigerian labour laws, statutory regulations, and internal company policies.
- Supervise HR records management, payroll coordination, staff welfare programs, and disciplinary procedures.
- Provide expert strategic HR guidance and advisory support to senior management and department heads.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
- 8 to 12 years of progressive HR experience, with strong preference given to candidates with background in manufacturing, agribusiness, FMCG, or supply chain sectors.
- Demonstrated success in a senior HR or managerial role handling complex workforce dynamics.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and modern HR best practices.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Professional certification such as CIPM, SHRM, or equivalent is a distinct advantage.
