About the Role

First Metro Infrastructure Limited (FMIL) is the preferred concessionaire of the Red Line Project in Lagos State, committed to developing world-class railway infrastructure solutions. We are currently looking for a dedicated HR Generalist to join our growing team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our workforce as we deliver safe, timely, and cost-effective transportation projects that drive regional progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day human resources operations, ensuring seamless administrative workflows and process efficiency.
  • Oversee accurate payroll administration, handling tax computations and statutory deductions in compliance with Nigerian labour laws.
  • Drive comprehensive employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive, productive, and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Implement and manage performance management systems to track employee growth and organizational goal attainment.
  • Ensure strict adherence to company policies, local labour regulations, and employment standards.
  • Maintain and update employee records utilizing modern HRIS and payroll management tools.
Qualifications
  • Possess a minimum of 4 to 5 years of cognate Human Resources experience within a structured corporate environment.
  • Hold a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or related fields.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel for payroll and data analysis.
  • Possess deep knowledge of Nigerian payroll systems, tax laws, statutory deductions, and HRIS software.
  • Relevant professional HR certifications such as CIPM, SHRM, or CIPD will serve as a distinct advantage.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills tailored for a fast-paced infrastructure setting.
