About the Role
Victory Empowerment Centre utilizes an impactful group lending methodology to drive sustainable social and economic empowerment. As we continue to expand our operations in Nigeria, we are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Assistant to support our growing workforce. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining smooth HR operations, fostering a positive employee experience, and supporting our dedicated team members across various departments.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and update digital and physical employee files within our HRIS, while accurately tracking attendance, paid time off, and sick leave.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes by posting job openings on career platforms, screening resumes, and coordinating interview schedules.
- Facilitate smooth onboarding and offboarding experiences, including collecting new-hire paperwork, conducting background verification, and processing exit documentation.
- Provide verified attendance and leave data to the payroll team and assist staff with basic benefits enrollment inquiries.
- Act as the primary point of contact for general HR policy inquiries, escalating complex employee relations matters to the HR Manager as needed.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven work experience in an HR support or administrative role is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian labor laws and human resources best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using HRIS software, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with professionalism.
