About the Role
Matrix International Academy, a premier private institution in Gombe State, Nigeria, is recruiting an experienced House Parent to join our dynamic boarding school community. This role is pivotal in creating a safe, supportive, and intellectually stimulating residential environment for our students across Nursery, Primary, and Secondary levels. As a House Parent, you will serve as both mentor and guardian, ensuring student welfare while upholding the school's commitment to blending Nigerian and British national curriculums.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive pastoral care and emotional support to boarding students
- Maintain a clean, organized, and conducive residential living space
- Monitor student health, wellbeing, and behavioural standards
- Foster a sense of community and belonging within the house
- Enforce house rules and school policies consistently and fairly
- Liaise between students, parents, and school management
- Organize house activities that promote character development and teamwork
- Respond promptly to student concerns and emergencies
- Demonstrate excellent moral character and sound physical health
- Proven experience in student care, boarding school management, or related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy and proficiency in basic software applications
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
