About the Role
Hotel Capitol, a modern three-star luxury destination located in the heart of Omole Phase 1, Lagos, is looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Hotel Waiter / Waitress to join our hospitality team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our guests receive prompt, professional, and courteous food and beverage service, upholding the high standards of comfort and elegance that our 28-room boutique hotel is known for.
Key Responsibilities- Greet guests warmly and take accurate food and beverage orders, proactively upselling menu items and daily specials.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately in accordance with established restaurant and room service standards.
- Handle guest bills, invoices, and point-of-sales transactions efficiently, ensuring all sales are properly recorded.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at service stations, clearing tables and removing soiled dishes as required.
- Prepare the outlet for daily operations by setting and resetting tables and performing assigned opening and closing duties.
- Accommodate special dietary requests and follow management presentation guidelines meticulously.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen staff and report directly to the Restaurant Supervisor for shift briefings and guest feedback.
- Minimum of an SSCE qualification.
- Prior experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is an advantage.
- Must reside within the Akute, Ojodu, Ikeja, Agege, Ogba axis, or surrounding Lagos mainland areas.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude.
