About the Role
Obafemi Awolowo University, a prestigious federal institution renowned for academic excellence and a vibrant campus community, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Chief Hall Attendant to join our Student Affairs division. In this vital role, you will oversee the daily operations, maintenance coordination, and general administration of our student residential halls, ensuring a safe, clean, and conducive living environment for our students in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily operations and maintenance activities within the university residential halls.
- Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and general upkeep of hostel facilities and surrounding areas.
- Coordinate prompt reporting and repair of infrastructural issues with the works and maintenance department.
- Manage allocation of rooms and maintain accurate inventory of hall furniture and equipment.
- Enforce university rules and regulations among resident students to maintain peace and order.
- Address student complaints and welfare issues proactively, escalating complex matters to appropriate authorities.
- Prepare regular reports on hall occupancy, facility status, and maintenance needs for management review.
- Possession of three O Level credits at one sitting, or four O Level credits at two sittings, which must include English Language.
- Minimum of 6 years of cognate experience in facility management, hospitality, or residential hall administration.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage diverse groups of students and coordinate support staff effectively.
