About the Role
Ascentech Services Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and hardworking Assistant Laboratory Technician to support daily laboratory operations within our modern agro-industrial facility. In this role, you will play an essential part in maintaining our strict quality standards by assisting with sample collection, preparation, and routine testing.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and prepare samples of raw materials, production inputs, and finished products for accurate laboratory analysis.
- Conduct basic laboratory tests under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Technician or Quality Control Officer.
- Label, record, and properly store all biological and chemical samples alongside test results.
- Maintain cleanliness, sterility, and proper organization of laboratory equipment and work areas.
- Maintain accurate physical and digital laboratory records, documentation, and inventories.
- Support overall quality control activities and immediately report abnormal results or contamination to supervisors.
- Adhere strictly to all laboratory health, safety, and environmental protection procedures.
- Minimum of OND or SSCE in Science Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant hands-on laboratory or agro-industry experience.
- Prior working experience in an agro-processing plant, feed mill, food processing facility, or agricultural laboratory is a strong advantage.
- Basic knowledge of standard laboratory procedures, chemical handling, and sample management.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent record-keeping abilities, and good teamwork skills.
