About the Role
Efezi Southsea Nigeria Limited, a premier hospitality consulting firm established in 2009, is looking for a dedicated and meticulous Hotel Internal Auditor to join our dynamic team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in elevating the financial integrity and operational standards of our partner hotels by safeguarding assets, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and implementing robust internal controls across all departments.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor daily sales, revenue streams, cash collections, POS transactions, and prompt bank deposits.
- Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports and statements for management review.
- Perform regular reconciliations of cash accounts, bank statements, and digital payment channels.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and accurately process payroll computations.
- Track inventory levels, stock purchases, and overall operational costs to identify and curb unnecessary spending.
- Ensure strict compliance with Nigerian tax laws, statutory obligations, and accounting standards.
- Implement and maintain airtight internal financial controls to detect and prevent fraud or discrepancies.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Active professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or ANAN is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the hotel or hospitality sector.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and industry-standard hotel management or POS systems.
- Exceptional analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities coupled with uncompromising integrity.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to meet tight reporting deadlines.
