About the Role
Muse Boutique Hotel, an upscale five-star hospitality establishment situated in Independence Layout, Enugu, is seeking a meticulous and experienced Hotel Accountant to oversee our financial operations. Designed to cater to corporate executives, discerning business travelers, and premium leisure guests, we pride ourselves on exceptional standards. In this vital role, you will maintain accurate financial records, manage accounts payable and receivable, and support the management team with strategic financial insights to ensure the continued growth and profitability of our luxury property.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and daily hotel revenue audits.
- Monitor budgetary controls and assist management in financial forecasting and cost analysis.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax laws, statutory deductions, and financial regulations.
- Coordinate internal and external audit processes and maintain transparent financial documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional certification (such as ACA, ACCA, or ongoing progression) is a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven accounting experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and impeccable integrity.
