We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Hostel Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team and contribute to the overall welfare of our boarding students by delivering wholesome, delicious, and well-balanced meals daily.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and prepare diverse, nutritious, and appetizing menus for boarding students and resident staff members.
- Maintain strict standards of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and personal cleanliness in compliance with health regulations.
- Inspect food supplies, ingredients, and kitchen equipment regularly to ensure freshness, quality, and proper working order.
- Manage food inventory efficiently, minimizing waste and ensuring timely procurement of necessary kitchen supplies.
- Accommodate special dietary requirements, allergies, and nutritional needs of specific students with utmost care.
- Collaborate effectively with school management and hostel staff to ensure timely and seamless meal service.
- Oversee kitchen cleanliness, including proper washing of utensils, equipment sanitization, and waste disposal.
- Proven professional experience as a cook, food prep worker, or similar role, preferably within a school, hostel, or hospitality setting.
- Possession of relevant culinary certifications, catering diplomas, or equivalent vocational training.
- Demonstrated knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and kitchen sanitation standards.
- Ability to prepare large-batch meals efficiently while maintaining exceptional taste and quality.
- Strong organizational skills, punctuality, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
