About the Role
Sterling Health HMO, a leading National Health Insurance Agency (NHIA)-accredited Health Maintenance Organization providing quality healthcare services across Nigeria since 2007, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Hospital Accountant, ACA, to join our finance team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure financial accuracy, manage fiscal reporting, and support the overall financial health of our operations, contributing directly to our mission of delivering accessible and affordable healthcare nationwide.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, monthly reports, and annual budgets in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Oversee financial transactions specific to hospital management and HMO operations, ensuring strict adherence to NHIA guidelines.
- Conduct variance analysis, monitor cash flow, and implement robust internal financial controls to mitigate risk.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to facilitate seamless financial and tax audits.
- Manage payroll processing, statutory deductions, and remittance to relevant Nigerian tax and regulatory authorities.
- Must be a Chartered Accountant (ACA) with active membership in ICAN.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably within a hospital management environment or an HMO setting.
- Strong proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- In-depth knowledge of Nigerian financial regulations, tax laws, and NHIA operational frameworks.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
