We are currently looking for a motivated and analytical Junior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining accurate financial records, streamlining transaction processing, and ensuring strict compliance with internal financial controls. Key Responsibilities- Record daily financial transactions accurately and maintain comprehensive, well-organized accounting records.
- Perform timely bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve any financial discrepancies promptly.
- Process vendor invoices, payments, and client receipts while ensuring appropriate documentation is attached.
- Assist in the preparation of accurate monthly payroll runs and compute statutory deductions correctly.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, schedules, and summaries for management review and decision-making.
- Support internal and external audit processes by collating and providing necessary financial documentation.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a closely related discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of demonstrable accounting experience, ideally gained within a fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG setting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and popular accounting software or ERP systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Tally.
- Sound understanding of Nigerian tax laws, regulations, and statutory remittance procedures.
- Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities.
