About the Role

Fronthill Limited is a leading provider of innovative solutions in Building Automation, Power and Energy Management, Smart Homes, and Life-Safety systems. We are currently looking for a skilled Project Accountant to oversee financial reporting across our expanding portfolio of construction and engineering projects in Nigeria. This critical role involves managing percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, maintaining accurate work-in-progress schedules, and acting as a trusted financial partner to our project managers from mobilization to closeout.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain monthly work-in-progress schedules utilizing the cost-to-cost percentage-of-completion method.
  • Manage IFRS 15 revenue recognition, contract assets, liabilities, and timely month-end close processes.
  • Reconcile job cost ledgers, investigate variances, and partner with project teams on estimates-to-complete.
  • Prepare interim valuation certificates, progress billings, and monitor aged retainage to support cash flow forecasting.
  • Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax regulations, including VAT, Withholding Tax (WHT), PAYE, and PenCom requirements.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with a valid NYSC discharge certificate.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, including a minimum of 2-3 years dedicated to construction or project accounting.
  • Solid expertise in IFRS 15, WIP schedule preparation, job costing, and Nigerian statutory tax compliance.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel and popular accounting software or ERP systems used in Nigeria.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent communication abilities to engage non-financial project managers.
