We are currently looking for a passionate and qualified Home Economics Teacher to join our esteemed faculty in nurturing well-rounded and capable students.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging theoretical and practical Home Economics lessons in accordance with the approved curriculum.
- Supervise hands-on practical activities including cooking, sewing, nutrition, and home management.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate academic records.
- Prepare students thoroughly for internal and external examinations to ensure excellent performance.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school management in organizing school events, exhibitions, and extracurricular activities.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), B.Sc., or HND in Home Economics, Home Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of cognate teaching experience in a reputable secondary school.
- In-depth knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of Home Economics.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Proficiency in integrating modern teaching aids and educational technology into lessons.
- TRCN certification or eligibility for registration is an added advantage.
