About the Role
Broadoak Schools is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Home Economics Teacher to join our vibrant academic community in Nigeria. In this role, you will provide students with both theoretical and practical knowledge in Home Economics, food and nutrition, clothing, and home management, helping them build essential life skills within a secure, caring, and forward-thinking educational environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Home Economics lessons covering food, nutrition, clothing, and home management.
- Conduct interactive practical sessions and assess both theoretical and practical student performance.
- Prepare students adequately for internal and external examinations.
- Maintain and manage teaching resources, equipment, and practical laboratories effectively.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school management to support the holistic development of every child.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (B.Ed., B.Sc., or B.A. with PGDE) or NCE in Home Economics or a related field.
- Valid TRCN registration or evidence of ongoing registration is an added advantage.
- Proven teaching experience in a reputable school environment is preferred.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in modern teaching methods and educational technology tools.
