Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging theoretical and practical Garment Making lessons covering pattern drafting, fabric selection, and garment construction.
- Demonstrate the safe and effective use of sewing machines, tools, and professional equipment.
- Design practical projects that develop students' creativity, craftsmanship, and problem-solving abilities.
- Assess student progress, maintain accurate academic records, and provide constructive, supportive feedback.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised practical learning environment while monitoring equipment needs.
- Introduce students to the commercial and entrepreneurial opportunities within the fashion and garment-making industry.
- Contribute actively to school events, exhibitions, departmental programmes, and the holistic development of every child.
- Bachelor Degree, HND, NCE, or relevant professional qualification in Fashion Design, Garment Making, Clothing and Textiles, or Home Economics.
- Proven practical competence in sewing, pattern making, and garment finishing techniques.
- Previous teaching experience within a secondary school or structured educational environment is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
