About the Role
SIMS Nigeria Limited, a leading distributor of top electronic brands like Samsung and Royal, is looking for a skilled, customer-focused, and results-oriented Home Appliance (HA) Technician to join our technical team in Trans Amadi, Rivers. You will play a crucial role in providing high-quality installation, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair services to ensure optimal customer satisfaction and product reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of home appliances, including refrigerators, washing machines, microwaves, and air conditioners.
- Perform product installations, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and routine servicing according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Conduct accurate fault diagnosis using technical manuals, multimeters, and specialized testing tools.
- Replace defective components and perform rigorous functional and safety tests before customer handover.
- Respond promptly to service requests, meeting established service level agreements (SLAs) and turnaround times.
- Maintain accurate service records, warranty documentation, and spare parts inventory.
- Educate customers on proper appliance usage and maintenance to prevent repeat faults.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and continuous improvement.
- OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing home appliances.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems used in domestic appliances.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
- Professional certifications in HVAC, refrigeration, or appliance repair are an added advantage.
