Odixcity Consulting, Nigeria's premier foreign outsourcing firm specializing in human resources and procurement, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic History Teacher to join our client's esteemed academic institution. In this role, you will inspire secondary school students by bringing the past to life, fostering critical thinking, and connecting historical events to contemporary society.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging History lessons aligned with the approved school curriculum.
- Equip students with the knowledge and exam strategies needed to excel in internal and external examinations including WAEC and NECO.
- Create innovative lesson notes, teaching aids, and comprehensive assessment materials.
- Monitor, assess, and track students' academic progress to provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a disciplined, inclusive, and positive classroom learning environment.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and school-wide events.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in History, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven teaching experience as a History Teacher in a secondary school setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of both Nigerian and global historical contexts.
- Exceptional verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong classroom management abilities with a proven track record of student engagement.
