About the Role
Owolabi University is a newly established private institution located in Osun State, Nigeria, licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC). We are dedicated to delivering top-tier higher education and preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals. We are currently seeking a dynamic and academically accomplished Senior Lecturer in Nursing Science to join our vibrant Faculty of Allied and Health Science at our Osogbo take-off site.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our nursing curriculum and mentoring future healthcare leaders. Your core duties will include:
- Delivering engaging, high-quality lectures and practical training in Nursing Science to undergraduate students.
- Conducting impactful research and publishing scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Providing academic advising, guidance, and mentorship to students.
- Participating in departmental and faculty administrative duties, curriculum development, and institutional accreditation processes.
- Collaborating with colleagues on research grants and community health outreach programs.
Candidates applying for this position must meet the following rigorous academic and professional standards:
- Hold a PhD Degree in Nursing Science or a closely related discipline from a reputable and accredited university.
- Possess a minimum of six (6) years of post-qualification, full-time relevant teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Demonstrate clear evidence of academic leadership.
- Have a robust publication record with a minimum of fifteen (15) scholarly articles published in reputable journals within the field.
- Possess proven administrative experience within an academic environment.
