As a History Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping young minds and fostering critical thinking through engaging historical narratives. You will deliver lessons aligned with the Nigerian secondary school curriculum while creating an inclusive classroom environment that nurtures every learner's academic growth and personal development.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging History lessons using effective pedagogical methods aligned with the Nigerian curriculum
- Develop and implement lesson plans that promote critical thinking and historical literacy
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners
- Assess student progress through continuous evaluation and provide constructive feedback
- Integrate technology and multimedia resources to enhance teaching effectiveness
- Collaborate with colleagues to support student welfare and academic excellence
- Mentor and guide students in their personal and academic development
- Bachelor's Degree in History (B.Ed., B.A., or B.Sc.) with PGDE or equivalent teaching qualification
- Minimum of 1 year secondary school teaching experience (preferred)
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of the Nigerian secondary school curriculum
- Ability to integrate technology into teaching delivery
