We are currently seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, and dedicated History/Government Teacher to join our esteemed faculty. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping young minds by bringing history and political science to life, encouraging critical thinking, and instilling a deep appreciation for civic responsibility and past events among our Senior Secondary School students.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive History and Government lessons for SS1 to SS3 students in accordance with the national curriculum.
- Develop and utilize creative teaching resources, multimedia tools, and interactive activities to enhance student comprehension and participation.
- Assess and monitor student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and organizing remedial support for students who need extra guidance.
- Create a disciplined, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, respectful debates, and active learning.
- Prepare students thoroughly for internal examinations as well as external SSCE examinations like WAEC and NECO.
- Participate actively in school meetings, professional development workshops, extracurricular activities, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in History, Political Science, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Proven teaching experience handling History and Government at the senior secondary school level is highly preferred.
- Exceptional mastery of the Nigerian secondary school curriculum for History and Government.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills with a genuine passion for youth development.
- Ability to inspire students, adapt to diverse learning styles, and integrate modern educational technology into daily lessons.
