About the Role
Wellspring College is a model secondary school dedicated to raising students with high academic standards, sound moral principles, and a strong sense of civic responsibility. We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified History / CRS Teacher to join our dynamic team of educators. In this role, you will deliver engaging, rigorous, and values-driven instruction in History and Christian Religious Studies, helping learners connect historical events and biblical teachings to contemporary life.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver high-quality History and CRS lessons in accordance with the approved Nigerian secondary school curriculum.
- Foster critical thinking, historical enquiry, ethical reasoning, and independent analysis among students.
- Utilize diverse, learner-centred instructional strategies including debates, source analysis, and project-based learning.
- Set, administer, and moderate assessments while providing constructive feedback to track and improve student progress.
- Prepare learners effectively for internal and external examinations such as WAEC and NECO.
- Provide holistic pastoral support, modeling core Christian values and encouraging responsible citizenship.
- Bachelor’s Degree in History, Religious Studies, CRS, Education, or a related discipline.
- Possession of a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGDE, NCE, or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant teaching experience in a reputable secondary school.
- Strong command of the Nigerian secondary school curriculum and proven success in WAEC/NECO preparation.
- Exceptional classroom management, communication, and digital literacy skills.
