About the Role

We are currently seeking a skilled, accurate, and experienced Histopathology Scientist to join our dynamic laboratory team at our Ilupeju branch. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting high-quality histopathology diagnostics through meticulous tissue processing, microtomy, staining, and the efficient management of high-volume samples.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining of histopathology samples with precision.
  • Manage and process a high volume of laboratory samples accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare high-quality microscopic slides for expert reporting by our pathologists.
  • Maintain strict adherence to standard operating procedures, quality control, and quality assurance standards.
  • Operate, clean, and perform routine maintenance on specialized histopathology laboratory equipment.
  • Ensure proper sample identification, meticulous documentation, and accurate record-keeping.
  • Comply fully with laboratory safety regulations, infection control protocols, and biohazard waste management.
  • Collaborate effectively with pathologists and laboratory personnel to ensure seamless diagnostic service delivery.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) degree from a recognized institution.
  • Valid and current practicing license issued by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
  • Must have current, hands-on working experience on a Histopathology bench.
  • Successfully completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
  • Proximity to Ilupeju, Lagos or its environs will be considered an added advantage.
  • Strong practical competencies in tissue processing, microtomy, and staining techniques.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, precision, and adherence to professional ethics and confidentiality.
