About the Role
Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC) is a premier federal tertiary health institution dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services, medical education, and advanced research. We are currently seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and skilled Higher Technical Officer to join our dynamic technical and engineering workforce in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, and biomedical equipment within the hospital complex.
- Ensure optimal functioning of critical hospital machinery and infrastructure to support uninterrupted healthcare delivery.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance schedules for all assigned technical systems and devices.
- Collaborate with medical and administrative personnel to resolve technical issues swiftly and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance activities, equipment status, and repair histories in compliance with hospital standards.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines applicable to federal health institutions in Nigeria.
- Candidates must possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Must provide evidence of completion of, or valid exemption/exclusion from, the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.
- Demonstrated practical knowledge of modern hospital equipment and general engineering maintenance is a strong advantage.
